In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yemen condemned the Iranian attacks on civilian infrastructure, service facilities, and residential areas across several GCC nations and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. These attacks, which reportedly involved missiles and drones, were characterized as serious violations of state sovereignty and international law.
Yemen reiterated its solidarity with the GCC countries, affirming their legal right to self-defense as outlined in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The ministry underscored the necessity for these nations to take all appropriate measures to safeguard their sovereignty and ensure the security of their citizens.
Furthermore, Yemen called upon the United Nations Security Council and the international community to fulfill their legal and moral obligations by taking decisive action to prevent further attacks and hold accountable those responsible for violations that threaten regional and international peace.
