Senior officials from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to maintaining its sovereignty and security amid escalating regional tensions. During a press briefing on Tuesday, Brigadier General Pilot Abdul Nasser Al-Hamidi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, emphasized that the UAE is fully prepared to take necessary measures to deter any acts of aggression. He stated unequivocally that the country will not tolerate any violations of its territorial integrity.

Al-Hamidi provided details on the UAE’s defensive capabilities, revealing that the nation has successfully intercepted 172 out of 186 ballistic missiles aimed at it, with most of the remaining missiles falling harmlessly into the sea. Additionally, he noted that 755 of 812 Iranian drones targeting the UAE have been shot down, with only a few incidents resulting in minor damage and casualties. He attributed these incidents to interception operations rather than successful strikes, highlighting the effectiveness of the UAE’s multi-layered air defense system and early warning capabilities.

In a separate statement, Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al-Hashimy reassured citizens that daily life continues normally despite the ongoing challenges. She condemned what she termed “blatant Iranian attacks” and reiterated the UAE’s position of not allowing its territory to be used for offensive operations against Iran. Al-Hashimy called for restraint and dialogue to resolve the crisis while affirming the UAE’s right to self-defense.

Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri also addressed the situation, noting the resilience of the UAE economy. He reported that the country has a strategic stockpile of essential goods sufficient for four to six months, ensuring stable supply chains and business confidence. Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Ahmad from the Ministry of Interior confirmed that security measures are at their highest levels, with enhanced patrols and rapid response systems in place to maintain nationwide stability.

Saeed Al-Dhaheri, spokesperson for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, added that essential services, including energy, water, communications, transport, and healthcare, continue to operate without disruption. He noted that education remains uninterrupted through remote learning systems, and contingency plans are established to manage travel and logistics effectively.
