In a recent meeting in Riyadh, the Minister of Finance, Marwan bin Ghanem, engaged with the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, to discuss enhancing economic and development cooperation between Yemen and France. The dialogue focused on strategies for capacity building and staff training, which are essential components for fostering sustainable development in Yemen.
Minister bin Ghanem outlined the government’s priorities aimed at achieving economic recovery and comprehensive development, aligning these efforts with the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council. He underscored the necessity of ongoing regional and international support to facilitate the implementation of vital economic, financial, and administrative reforms.
During the meeting, the Minister expressed appreciation for France’s support across various sectors in Yemen. He emphasized the critical role of sustained assistance in improving overall conditions and fostering stability and recovery within the national economy, particularly in economic and service sectors.
Ambassador Corm-Kammoun reaffirmed France’s commitment to supporting the Yemeni government in its economic and service initiatives. She reiterated her government’s dedication to continuing its support for Yemen and its state institutions, aiming to contribute positively to the country’s economic and developmental aspirations.
