The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates reported on Friday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted a total of seven ballistic missiles and 27 drones that were launched from Iran. This announcement comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, particularly related to missile and drone attacks targeting the UAE.

Since the onset of these assaults, UAE defense forces have engaged a significant number of aerial threats, including 285 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,567 drones. The frequency and scale of these attacks highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by the UAE.

The attacks have had a tragic human cost, resulting in six fatalities among individuals of various nationalities, including Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi citizens. Additionally, 141 people have sustained injuries of varying severity, affecting a diverse group of residents from over 25 different nationalities, including Egyptians, Sudanese, Ethiopians, and Filipinos, among others.

In response to these threats, the Ministry of Defense has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the security and stability of the nation. Officials emphasized their readiness to counter any potential dangers, underscoring the importance of safeguarding the UAE’s sovereignty and protecting its citizens and national interests.
