Jordan has issued a strong condemnation of a recent terrorist plot aimed at the United Arab Emirates, characterizing it as an attempt to undermine the country’s national economy and financial stability. The statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the plot as a “rejected attempt to threaten the security and stability of the UAE.”
In its response, Jordan expressed unwavering solidarity with the UAE, pledging full support for the measures taken to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty, security, and the well-being of its citizens and residents. The ministry reiterated its categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism that seek to destabilize the region.
The UAE State Security Service reported on Friday that it had dismantled a terrorist network allegedly funded and directed by Hezbollah and Iran. This network was said to operate under a false commercial guise within the UAE, with the intention of infiltrating the national economy and executing external plans that could jeopardize financial stability.
According to the UAE agency, the network was involved in activities such as money laundering and financing terrorism, while also violating the country’s economic and legal frameworks in collaboration with external entities linked to Hezbollah and Iran. The UAE government has made it clear that any attempts to exploit its economy or civilian institutions for terrorist purposes will be met with decisive action, emphasizing that no external interference threatening national security will be tolerated.
