In a significant move to enhance bilateral relations, the Minister of Transport, Mohsen al-Amri, held a meeting with Eng. Peter Olang’a, the Executive Director of Tanzanian Airlines, in Dodoma on Saturday. The discussions focused on establishing joint cooperation in the air transport sector between Yemen and Tanzania.

During the meeting, both officials explored various issues pertinent to the development of the civil aviation sector. They emphasized the importance of expanding technical and operational cooperation between aviation institutions in their respective countries. This collaboration aims to foster growth and innovation within the industry.

A key outcome of the discussions was the agreement to draft a joint memorandum of understanding. This document is expected to outline mechanisms for activating direct flight routes between Yemen and Tanzania. Such initiatives are anticipated to bolster bilateral relations and support the economic and commercial interests shared by both nations.

The proposed cooperation in air transport is seen as a strategic step towards enhancing connectivity and facilitating trade between Yemen and Tanzania. As both countries look to strengthen their ties, the aviation sector may play a crucial role in promoting mutual benefits and opportunities.
