The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force reported on Sunday that its air defense systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed a total of 145 missiles and 246 drones targeting the Kingdom. This announcement comes in the context of ongoing Iranian attacks, highlighting the heightened security measures in place to protect Bahrain’s airspace.

In a statement, the command commended the advanced combat readiness and vigilance of its personnel, asserting that their operational efficiency is crucial for safeguarding the skies over Bahrain. The statement expressed confidence in the capabilities of the defense forces, stating that their honorable performance inspires reassurance among the citizens regarding the security of the Kingdom’s airspace.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution, advising them to avoid areas affected by military operations or any suspicious objects. Citizens are also encouraged to refrain from filming military activities or debris and to rely solely on official sources for information and alerts regarding the situation.

The command condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian facilities and private property, labeling such actions as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. They warned that these indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security, underscoring the importance of maintaining stability in the area.
