Minister of Technical Education Engages with UNESCO Regional Center to Enhance Vocational Education System

In a significant meeting held in Aden, Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Dr. Anwar al-Mahri engaged with Dr. Amjad Samir, the National Coordinator of the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education. The discussions focused on enhancing the technical and vocational education system, aiming to improve its overall quality and effectiveness.

The meeting, which also included Deputy Minister for the Quality Sector Dr. Ahmed Kulaib, emphasized the necessity of implementing specialized reform projects within the vocational education sector. Key topics included the development of strategic policies designed to enhance institutional performance and the updating of educational and training curricula to align with contemporary standards and the demands of the labor market.

Dr. al-Mahri reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to forging strategic partnerships with relevant organizations to bolster the educational and training processes in future development plans. He highlighted that these efforts are crucial for equipping youth with the skills needed to become productive members of society, thereby supporting the national economy.

The Minister acknowledged the challenges faced by the technical and vocational education sector in recent years, stressing the importance of collaborative efforts to address these issues.
