The UAE Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted seven ballistic missiles and 15 drones that were launched from Iran. This incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region, particularly concerning what the UAE has characterized as “blatant Iranian aggressions.”

Since the onset of these hostilities, the UAE’s defense systems have reportedly engaged a significant number of aerial threats, including a total of 334 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,714 drones. The ministry’s statement underscores the scale of the challenges faced by the UAE in maintaining its airspace security.

Tragically, the recent attacks have resulted in the deaths of two UAE Armed Forces personnel who were fulfilling their national duties. Additionally, six civilians from various nationalities—including Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian—lost their lives, while 158 individuals sustained injuries of varying severity.

In light of these developments, the Ministry of Defense has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and security. It emphasized its readiness to confront any threats that may arise, vowing to take decisive action against attempts to destabilize the UAE.

The situation remains fluid, and the UAE continues to monitor potential threats closely as it seeks to protect its interests and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
