The UAE Ministry of Defense has reported significant military activity in response to ongoing threats, particularly from Iranian forces. On Tuesday, officials announced that their air defense systems successfully intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 123 drones. Despite these efforts, one missile did land within the UAE, although it did not result in any casualties.
Since the onset of what the UAE describes as “blatant aggression” from Iran, a total of 186 ballistic missiles have been launched toward the country. Of these, 172 were intercepted, while 13 fell into the sea, and one struck Emirati territory. Additionally, the UAE detected 812 Iranian drones, with 755 intercepted and 57 landing inside the country. The ministry also reported the destruction of eight cruise missiles, which, despite being neutralized, caused collateral damage that resulted in three fatalities and 68 minor injuries among residents of various nationalities.
The ministry condemned these attacks as a serious violation of national sovereignty and international law. In a statement, officials emphasized that the UAE reserves the right to respond decisively to such escalations and will take all necessary measures to safeguard its territory and its people. “We are fully prepared to deal with any threats. The safety of citizens, residents, and visitors is our highest priority,” the statement asserted.
Authorities have urged the public to remain informed through official channels and to refrain from spreading rumors or unverified information regarding the situation. The ongoing military developments underscore the heightened tensions in the region and the UAE’s commitment to maintaining security and stability.
