The International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims, known as Al-Ameen, has reported the provision of over 9,000 specialized medical services in January 2026. These services were delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Population and with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
Dr. Mohammed Darba, the Regional Director of Al-Ameen, stated that the organization implemented a comprehensive package of health and humanitarian services. This package included prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation, dialysis, and auditory and speech rehabilitation, coordinated with the Therapeutic Medicine Sector. The initiative aims to address the needs of individuals affected by conflict and disaster.
Al-Ameen operates four specialized centers in the governorates of Aden, Taiz, Seiyun, and Marib, focusing on prosthetics and rehabilitation projects. In addition, the organization has maintained the operation of a dialysis center in Al-Ghaydah District, al-Mahrah Governorate, where 1,972 health services were provided, including dialysis sessions. This service is crucial in alleviating the health and financial burdens faced by patients and their families.
Furthermore, the organization has been active in providing auditory and speech rehabilitation services for children in Seiyun, Hadramout Governorate, and Marib. A total of 119 children benefited from over 800 services, which included specialized consultations, rehabilitation sessions, and maintenance of hearing aids.
Dr. Darba emphasized that these projects demonstrate Al-Ameen’s commitment to supporting the health sector and enhancing specialized care services for vulnerable populations. He acknowledged the vital support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Population, which plays a significant role in improving healthcare quality and strengthening the resilience of the health system across various governorates.
