In a recent video conference, Yemen’s Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani emphasized the critical need for substantial international support to bolster the government’s economic recovery plans and reform initiatives. He articulated that a collaborative international partnership is essential for the successful implementation of these strategies.

During discussions with the American Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, Zindani addressed various pressing issues, including the state of Yemeni-American bilateral relations and the ongoing challenges faced by the Yemeni government. He underscored the importance of international assistance in navigating these difficulties and fulfilling the government’s objectives.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the support provided by the U.S. administration, acknowledging its role in aiding Yemen’s efforts to tackle economic, humanitarian, and security challenges. He highlighted the significance of continued U.S. backing in achieving the government’s goals.

Ambassador Fagin reiterated the United States’ commitment to supporting Yemen, affirming that Washington would maintain its assistance to help the Yemeni government work towards stability and prosperity for its citizens. The discussions reflect a shared understanding of the need for ongoing international cooperation to address Yemen’s multifaceted challenges.
