The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted nine ballistic missiles and 33 drones that were launched from Iran. This announcement underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and the UAE’s commitment to maintaining its national security.

In a statement shared on its official account on X, the ministry detailed the interception of these threats, which it described as part of Iran’s “blatant aggressions.” The UAE has been actively monitoring and responding to aerial threats, having intercepted a total of 294 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,600 drones since the onset of these hostilities.

The ministry also provided information regarding the human impact of these attacks, confirming that they have resulted in the deaths of six individuals, including nationals from the UAE, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Additionally, there have been 141 reported injuries among residents of various nationalities, highlighting the widespread effects of the conflict.

In light of these developments, the UAE Ministry of Defense emphasized its readiness to respond decisively to any threats, reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability. The situation remains fluid, and the ministry continues to monitor potential risks to national interests and assets.
