The meeting, held on Tuesday, was led by Dr. al-Khadr Lasour, President of the University of Aden, and included Dr. Mark Philipp, a Consultant of Gastrointestinal Surgery from the University Hospital of Rostock.

During the discussions, the two institutions focused on establishing internship programs and enhancing academic collaboration. The dialogue included opportunities for exchanging academic visits, implementing joint research projects, and developing training and skill programs that could benefit both universities.

Dr. Lasour emphasized the University of Aden’s commitment to fostering partnerships with reputable institutions like the University of Rostock. He expressed a strong interest in developing academic cooperation and internship opportunities that would enhance the educational experience for students at both universities.

The German delegation conveyed their enthusiasm for establishing long-term cooperation, particularly in the field of general surgery. They highlighted the potential for joint training programs, the exchange of expertise between faculty and medical professionals, and the provision of practical and research training opportunities for students and researchers.
