Lieutenant General Mahmood al-Subaihi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), has acknowledged the pivotal role of Lahj governorate in Yemen’s historical context. During a handover ceremony on Wednesday, he emphasized Lahj’s contributions to significant national events, particularly the 14th of October Revolution in 1963 and the defense of the 26th of September Revolution in 1962.

In his address, al-Subaihi expressed a commitment to providing ongoing support to the local authority in Lahj. He highlighted the necessity of collective efforts to foster security and stability in the region, which he deemed essential for advancing development initiatives.
The emphasis on teamwork and cooperation reflects a broader strategy aimed at addressing the challenges faced by Lahj and enhancing the overall governance of the governorate. Al-Subaihi’s statements indicate a proactive approach to leadership and community engagement in the context of Yemen’s ongoing efforts toward recovery and stability.
