Lieutenant General Mahmoud Salem al-Subaihi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, convened the second meeting with several ministers in Aden on Thursday. The meeting included discussions with key officials from various ministries, including Agriculture, Education, Public Works, Local Administration, and Planning and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, al-Subaihi reviewed the ongoing work and conditions within the ministries, emphasizing the necessity of enhancing their performance to strengthen public services and promote social and economic stability. He underscored the critical role of agriculture and fisheries in achieving self-sufficiency, advocating for support to farmers, the development of irrigation systems, and the preservation of marine resources to bolster food security.

In addition to agricultural concerns, al-Subaihi called on the Ministry of Education to focus on improving educational processes and outcomes. He highlighted the importance of curriculum development, teacher training, and creating conducive learning environments to prepare a well-educated generation capable of contributing positively to society.

The discussion also touched on infrastructure, with al-Subaihi stressing the need for maintaining roads and enhancing transportation systems to support economic development. He urged the implementation of plans to repair main networks and expand service and development projects.

Furthermore, al-Subaihi pointed out the significance of administrative decentralization, advocating for improved services at the local level to enable local authorities to tackle challenges and achieve balanced development. He called on the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to devise comprehensive development plans and foster partnerships with donors and international organizations to attract external support for strategic projects.

The meeting concluded with a call for integrated efforts among ministries, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to implement government plans and reform programs effectively. Al-Subaihi reiterated the need for a concerted approach to overcome existing challenges and ensure the successful execution of development initiatives.
