The UAE floating hospital, situated in Al-Arish, Egypt, continues its vital role in providing medical assistance to patients from the Gaza Strip as part of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian initiative. This facility has been instrumental in delivering essential healthcare services amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
Since its inception, the floating hospital has offered over 13,000 medical services, including more than 5,600 surgeries and 7,500 physiotherapy sessions. These efforts highlight the UAE’s commitment to enhancing the healthcare infrastructure in Gaza and addressing the urgent medical needs of the Palestinian population.
The recent reopening of the Rafah crossing has allowed the hospital to treat 41 new cases, along with their companions, ensuring that patients receive care in accordance with high medical standards. This influx of patients underscores the critical need for medical services in the area, as the hospital strives to provide timely and effective treatment.
The facility is operated by a dedicated Emirati medical and administrative team, complemented by an Indonesian medical contingent. This collaboration exemplifies the humanitarian objectives of the “Gallant Knight 3” initiative, which aims to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians through integrated healthcare services.
As the situation in Gaza remains precarious, the UAE floating hospital continues to stand as a beacon of hope, offering comprehensive medical care to those in need and reinforcing international efforts to support the region’s healthcare challenges.
