The Republic of Yemen has expressed its strong condemnation of a recent terrorist plot that was foiled by Kuwaiti authorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen issued a statement denouncing the criminal attempt aimed at undermining Kuwait’s security and stability, which involved recruiting individuals for terrorist organizations linked to external agendas.
In its statement, Yemen affirmed its unwavering solidarity with Kuwait, emphasizing support for the nation’s leadership, government, and citizens in the face of threats to their security and sovereignty. The Yemeni Ministry praised the vigilance and competence of Kuwaiti security agencies in thwarting the plot, highlighting their role in maintaining national safety.
The statement further indicated that the foiled terrorist attempt is part of broader sabotage operations orchestrated by regional actors, particularly pointing to the Iranian regime’s involvement in supporting armed networks and organizations that operate outside the law. Yemen characterized this support as a direct threat to regional security and a violation of the principles of sovereignty and good neighborliness.
Yemen reiterated its firm stance against all forms of terrorism and extremism, calling for a collective international response to external interference in the internal affairs of states.
