Yemen’s Ambassador to the European Union, Mohammed Taha Mustafa, engaged in discussions in Brussels with key EU officials, including Matthew Binns, Head of the Gulf Division at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf, and Daniela Kolen, Chair of the Yemen and Red Sea Working Group. The talks aimed to enhance the relationship between Yemen and the EU, focusing on future programs and initiatives in Yemen.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mustafa emphasized Yemen’s solidarity with neighboring countries facing Iranian attacks. This statement reflects Yemen’s position on regional security issues and its commitment to supporting allied nations in the Gulf region.

EU officials expressed their ongoing support for Yemen, particularly in terms of development initiatives and the government’s reform agenda. This commitment underscores the EU’s role in fostering stability and progress in Yemen amidst ongoing challenges.

The discussions also touched upon the latest regional developments, indicating a broader context for the EU’s engagement with Yemen and its strategic interests in the Middle East. The meeting highlights the importance of diplomatic dialogue in addressing both bilateral relations and regional security concerns.
