Taiz Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center Assists 674 Beneficiaries in February

The Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz governorate has reported significant activity in February, providing essential medical and rehabilitation services to 674 beneficiaries. The center delivered a total of 2,174 specialized services, which included prosthetics, physical therapy, and various technical and medical consultations.

This initiative was funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and executed by the International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims. The collaboration aims to enhance the quality of life for individuals requiring rehabilitation services in the region, particularly in the context of ongoing humanitarian needs.

A statistical report from the center, shared with the Yemen News Agency (SABA), highlighted that this outreach was part of the eighth phase of a broader project designed to support prosthetics and rehabilitation centers across Yemen. The report underscores the ongoing commitment to assist those affected by conflict and disaster.

Demographically, the report indicated that 60 percent of the beneficiaries were male, while 40 percent were female. Additionally, internally displaced persons made up 13 percent of the total beneficiaries, with the remaining 87 percent being local residents. This distribution reflects the center’s efforts to provide inclusive services accessible to various segments of the population.
