The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has initiated the second phase of its emergency food assistance project in Shabwa, Yemen. This effort is being carried out in collaboration with local authorities and is implemented by the Al Khair Coalition for Relief. The project aims to provide critical food support to those in need within the region.
As part of this initiative, a total of 11,160 food baskets will be distributed, benefiting approximately 66,000 individuals, including internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups across various districts in the governorate. The project is designed to bolster food security and alleviate the deteriorating living conditions faced by many in the area.
Shabwa’s Deputy Governor, Ahmed Al-Daghari, expressed gratitude for KSrelief’s humanitarian efforts, emphasizing the significance of the project in meeting the urgent needs of displaced families and vulnerable communities amid ongoing economic difficulties. His remarks highlight the pressing challenges faced by residents in the region.
Al-Daghari also reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to facilitating the execution of humanitarian projects and enhancing collaboration with relief organizations. This cooperation aims to ensure that aid effectively reaches all beneficiaries throughout the governorate, addressing the critical needs of those affected by the ongoing crisis.
